A mission authority service for AI agents
Project Details
Updated 07/22/26 · Provided via application · VerifiedCreating an open-source mission authority service. Four engineers (the number is growing every day) are working on the engineering portion of this project.
AuthScope is a Mission Authority Service for AI agents: it gives agents explicit, limiited, auditable authority to act on behalf of people and organizations.
Future vision: become the enterprise control plane for AI agents, where every agent action is identity-bound, policy-checked, mission-scoped, approval-aware, observable, and instantly revocable across critical systems.
A MVP is available on Github with tons of more work to do:

Theory of Impact
Updated 07/22/26 · By grantmaking.aiAuthScope reduces AI x-risk by making agent power explicit, bounded, reviewable, and revocable.
It helps by:
- Giving agents mission-scoped authority instead of open-ended access.
- Requiring approvals for risky or expanding actions.
- Enforcing policy-as-code at runtime.
- Binding actions to verified agent identity.
- Producing signed audit evidence for every decision.
- Allowing rapid containment, revocation, and blast-radius analysis.
In short: it turns autonomous agents from opaque actors into governed systems with limits, accountability, and emergency brakes.
